Review Melissa I've been visiting this local cafe and tearooms for many, many years. It is my go to location when meeting up with friends or even to have a small work meeting with a colleague. Julie and her team have been part of our support network for many years and even held huge functions for us here. It is a little neighbourhood gem that must be shared.

Location There are instructions and directions on the website for the bus, train and car. This cafe is located within the Boulevard Shopping centre near Woolworths supermarket. It is located in the northern suburb or Woodvale.

Parking & Access The great thing about this location is the huge shopping centre parking. There are only a few dedicated disabled bays, but you can park in multiple areas around the centre, front and back. It does get busy but generally it is flat and easy enough to access the centre. People with wheelchairs, walkers etc will be happy.

Toilet Facilities Within the centre on the outside are the toilets which include one dedicated disabled toilet. The cleaning crew keep things clean and well stocked. It is a quick walk from the cafe through the centre mall to just outside one of the entry/exits and it is undercover.

Customer Service Is always friendly, and efficient. You can reserve a table or booth, or just wander in and find a seat. Grab a menu from the counter before you sit down :) and go up to the counter to make your order and pay. Be greeted by Julie or one of her team as they bustle about the cafe serving and chatting to the patrons. I love that they have so many regulars who can count on a smile and a chat over a nice coffee or lunch. The service here is always consistent and they have remained innovative in their approach especially during the dreaded Covid phase in WA!

Atmosphere & Suitability The cafe was refurbished not long ago and now has a lovely Hamptons French vibe going on with hues of Tiffany blue and white. There is lots of booth seating, which is nice and comfy for people with health issues or who suffer from pain. Everything is always clean and tidy and there is so much to look at in the way of giftware! Trust me you will be leaving with something so take the time to browse and look out for those special times of the year when Julie has a stand in the centre mall filled with fabulous gifts to buy. The inside has a lovely fresh, natural vibe and the a good ambient temperature. The staff are very accommodating. This establishment does it all. From fabulous giftware, to Vintage Tea both in the cafe and as a take home box picnic, catering, cakes, and events. There is nothing Julie and her team won't consider and make really beautiful for you. Julie held one of our fundraisers for an awareness campaign, which was huge, and she also catered for the memorial of my fathers death in early 2022. She follows the seasons and highlights all the fun times throughout the year for you to enjoy.

Food & Cost Very well priced. All of the food and beverages are well priced for all kinds of budgets. The Vintage Tea is under $30.00 with bottomless tea from a vast range of leaf teas that are to die for, and I am a coffee drinker! The beautifully laid tables, the special touches like an individual hand made gingerbread teapot cookie for each person adds a little extra sparkle. Being served the various courses of a Vintage Tea over a few hours while you chat away with friends and family is a brilliant way to spend your time, be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Delicious little morsels of a variety of savoury and sweets get your tastebuds tingling and leave you very happy. I am a big fan of her mini quiche. :) The catering we had for dad was brilliant. Several varieties of sandwiches, fresh and tasty, delicious sausage rolls and mini quiches, different flavours that also catered to dietary needs and vegetarians. I often visit for a quick coffee, sometimes a cake, or sandwich. It is nice to be able to have something quick and easy or a larger meal that is more substantial. They offer both along with an array of yummy looking cakes, slices and biscuits. I would recommend you visit the website and the Facebook pages as it is a visual feast.

Finishing Touches I am most definitely biased because I adore Julie and her team. I love going in to say hello, I try to buy all my gifts from them and my own home is filled with her gorgeous wares. I am a frequent flyer for coffee and highly recommend the Vintage Tea either in-house or takeaway, as it comes beautifully packed. Nobody misses out, which is what I love. A comfortable, lovely place to frequent, that does it all with style.
